Ski trip through Georgia

Bakuriani is a mountain resort on the northern slope of the Tianeti Mountains in the Samtskhe Javaketi region of southern Georgia. It is located 180 kilometers from Tbilisi at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level.

The fresh mountain air and the predominantly coniferous forests make Bakuriani an ideal place for recreation in summer, while in winter it turns into an internationally recognized ski resort that meets Olympic standards. Summers are long and temperate, with temperatures averaging +15° Celsius in August. Winter in Bakuriani is icy, with average January temperatures as low as -7 °C and an average snow cover of 64 cm that covers the landscape for 4-5 months.

The ski season in Bakuriani starts at the end of December and lasts until April. The ski resort offers 23 slopes with a total length of 29.1 kilometers. The slopes are equipped with artificial snow machines, and the slopes are divided by difficulty. Every year many international athletes come here to show their skills, but Bakuriani is also an attractive place for children and adult amateur skiers. The ski resort offers various ski lifts, night skiing, tobogganing, skating, snowmobile rental and two children's parks, Didveli and JoyLand. There are also horse riding facilities, a bike park, a cinema and cozy cafes and restaurants. Bakuriani is the ideal place to spend a winter vacation and make unforgettable white memories.
